These terms are the agreement between you and evatu for your use of the evatu app. By signing in or using evatu, you agree to them. Please read them.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. evatu is intended for parents and caregivers organising family life. When you add information about other people, including children, co-parents and helpers, you confirm you are entitled to provide that information and to share it as you choose within evatu.
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in method secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know at contact@evatu.app if you think your account has been misused.
evatu helps you capture, organise and share family tasks, events and gift ideas. It is a convenience tool to help you stay on top of things. It is not a substitute for your own judgement or record-keeping, and you should not rely on it as the sole source of anything important, such as a legal, medical or safety obligation.
You keep ownership of the information and content you add to evatu. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate and provide the service to you and the people you share it with (for example, showing a task to a helper you invited, or a gift idea on a link you created). You are responsible for the content you add and for the choices you make about sharing it.
evatu relies on third parties to work, including Apple and Google (sign-in), our hosting and database provider, and language/vision model providers used for quick capture. Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
When you create a shareable gift or wishlist link, anyone with the link can view what you put on it. Some shopping links shown in evatu may include an affiliate tag, which means we could earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. This never changes what we suggest, and evatu works fine whether or not you use those links.
evatu is free to use today. Paid plans and features are coming. If we introduce them, we will tell you in advance, clearly mark anything that costs money, and never start charging you for something you are already using without your agreement. Any purchase will be optional.
evatu is actively developed. We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these terms. If we make a material change to the terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use evatu after a change means you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using evatu at any time and can reset your family or delete your account from the Family screen. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or where we need to for legal or safety reasons.
evatu is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, evatu will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the service, including a missed event, task or obligation. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
