Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

evatu helps parents and their village keep on top of family life: the parties, pickups, permission slips and everything in between. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it plain because that is the whole point of evatu.

Who we are

evatu ("evatu", "we", "us") provides the evatu app. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at contact@evatu.app.

What we collect

Account information

You sign in with Apple or Google. From that we receive your name and email address. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we only ever see the private relay address, which is fine. We do not use passwords and never see your Apple or Google password.

The family information you add

evatu only works if you tell it about your family, so the information you enter is the heart of the service. This can include:

Capture content

When you use quick capture (typing, pasting a link, taking a photo, or dictating), the text, link or image you submit is sent to a language or vision model only to pull out the useful details (dates, tasks, RSVPs). We route these through our own server so the raw content is not shared beyond what is needed to return the result, and we do not use it to train models.

Usage information

We record a small amount of anonymous product analytics, such as which screen was opened and how many items were added. These events carry counts and screen names only. We deliberately do not put the content you write (titles, notes, capture text) or any personal detail into analytics.

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.

Children's information

evatu is a tool for parents and caregivers, not for children. It is not directed to children, and children do not create accounts or use it directly. The information about a child that appears in evatu (such as a name or a schedule) is entered by a parent or guardian who is responsible for that information. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us at contact@evatu.app and we will remove it.

Sharing

Where and how long we keep it

Your data is stored in our hosted database. We keep it for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account or reset your family in the app, the associated family data is deleted; some minimal records may remain where we are required to keep them.

Your choices and rights

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your family's data private and safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
